Wotton House, Dorking – Surrey Wedding Photographer

Elina & Iain chose Beziiqué to be their Wotton House, Dorking – Surrey Wedding Photographer, here is their story :

We met several years ago when Iain lived in North London. Elina was invited to a BBQ by a mutual friend and we were introduced to one another. We didn’t become a couple until approximately three years after this initial introduction and had been a couple for almost 4 years before Iain proposed.

Iain sought permission from Elina’s mother to marry Elina in June 2016. Iain proposed on the 21 September 2016 whilst we were punting along the river Cam in Cambridge (the location of our second date). It was a beautiful sunny day and Elina had no idea until Iain was on his knee. There were plenty of tourist groups punting on the river so when Elina said yes, we had quite a loud applause!

On the day of the proposal, we had Elina’s Mother visiting us from abroad so it made the day even more special that she was there to celebrate with us.

The three-stone platinum engagement ring featured a round center sapphire (Elina’s Birthstone) matched with two side diamonds. The bespoke ring was designed by jewelers in Hatton Garden, London.

The flowers were provided by Flowers by Elaine in Dorking, Surrey.

We hired a Starlight Backdrop and the Post Box from Harper’s events.

As a wedding favor, we made a donation to Cancer Research on behalf of each guest including the children’s who attended the wedding.

The children had a play table with sweets and games during the wedding reception.

We had a Thank you Note attached to the white rose for men and the blush pink rose for women and we placed the roses on the plate for each guest.

We had clear crystals scattered on the tables. And the rose petals with crystals on the table with a wedding cake.

We also made use of a toastmaster who made the day effortlessly smooth.

Whilst we had our wedding breakfast we were entertained by a pianist and… just before the speeches Elina sprung one of the wedding presents (The singing waiters!) which was a wonderful surprise for Iain and the guests.

We had a wonderfully 5 piece band who saw us into the night.

It was exactly as we planned, we knew it was going to be a happy occasion when we pulled the curtains that morning and it was clear blue skies and glorious sunshine.

The night before the wedding Elina was surprised by a beautiful neckless and a wonderful bespoke card delivered by her bridesmaid from the groom.

On the day of the wedding, Elina was again surprised by another bespoke card from Iain and Rolex watch. The black screen watch matched Iain’s Rolex and the watch had a sentimental value which made the wedding present more special.

We always had people around us and we were so excited to see each other. We had a beautiful ceremony, took plenty of pictures while the guests were drinking in the 1879 bar after the ceremony, we had our wedding breakfast (our first meal as a husband and wife), after the performance of the singing waiters and the speeches we had a little coffee break and then followed by the wedding cake, first dance and the evening canapé.

Everything went so smooth and as planned. It was absolutely perfect but the day went so fast!

What was the favorite part of your wedding day?

It’s hard to choose one part, the ceremony was perfect as was the food and entertainment. We are over the moon with the pictures you have provided.

After looking at approximately 70 venues online and across the country, Elina found that place and we both thought it was perfect for us from the minute we saw it. It’s such a beautiful venue overlooking exclusive Roman Gardens. The venue has stunning 17-th century detailing and modern, luxurious touches. It certainly has the wonderful ‘WOW’ factor!

 Food/Music Evening Entertainment/ Dj / Fireworks:

The ceremony music: Canon in D Major by Johann Pachelbel (guests sitting) A Thousand Years (instrumental) (Elina walking down the aisle) River Flows in You by Yiruma (exchanging vows) Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden (walking down the aisle as a married couple)

The entertainment was provided by the Band Ronnie Scott’s Rejects who were absolutely fabulous. And our first dance song was Perfect by Ed Sheeran because we both love Ed Sheeran and it feels absolutely perfect when we are together!

Try not to stress about the day and enjoy the fun time like the menu or cake tasting or choosing your dress. Those are very special moments which will make the Big day even more special. If possible, have a date the week before the wedding, go to the cinema or dress up and go to some fancy place or have a lovely walk in the park. Take your mind off the wedding. Anything that will make you Both relax. And of course, enjoy the day as it goes so fast.

They are the best! Such a creative, fun and professional couple. We don’t really need to say much because our beautiful photographs say it all. We enjoyed having them and wish them the best of luck with their wedding this year!
